Facilities:
The Third Hand Bicycle Co-op facilities are well equipped for complete bicycle maintenance. In addition to the tools and shop materials the Co-op maintains a collection of good quaity used parts and complete bicycles. Facilities tools include a professional quality bicycle workstand, a wheel truing stand, a complete set of metric wrenches, cone wrenches, and adjustable wrenches, as well as other specialized tools for bicycle maintenance.
The Co-op maintains an inventory and price list of available complete bicycles and parts. Co-op credit can be used to obtain parts and bicycles. Credit can be applied to 75% of the price of the bike. Some expendable parts must be paid for in cash.
Facilities Guidelines: - Safety must be a priority at all times.
- Everyone must sign in upon arrival to shop.
- Membership has stand time priviledges on member stands.
- Personal stand time should be scheduled to avoid conflicts.
- Unscheduled stand time is on first come-first served basis.
- Volunteer hours need to be recorded at time of service.
Note: The co-op does not provide storage. Space is very limited.
