Third Hand Looking for Accountant! |

The Third Hand Bicycle Co-op is currently seeking an accountant to help us do taxes, get our finances in order quarterly, and help us get our own 501(c)3 status. We have a lot of the work done, but have too many loose ends. The co-op is looking for someone who is sympathetic to our mission and wants to help support this community organization. Pay is negotiable and work will consist of several hours a week at first, with less work needed as we catch up. The finances have become too much of a burden for any one volunteer to handle, but the volunteer finance committee will provide support as needed to the accountant. It is a very relaxed environment and the work can be done at any time. We are hoping to fill this position ASAP. Anyone interested should email

Please notice that the Third Hand is changing its main open shop hours. The new hours are as follows (volunteer attendance permitting):
Open Shop Saturdays 1pm-4pm
Open Shop Sundays 1pm-4pm
Volunteer Night Mondays 6pm
Open Shop Wednesday Night 6pm-9pm Womyn/Trans Only Open Shop Thursdays 6pm-9pm
We will be updating the main pages of the website with this schedule ASAP. Currently, as you might notice, they do not reflect the new schedule.
We will be CLOSED for a holiday break from December 19, 2009 through January 5, 2010. |

Womyn/Trans Open Shop Night |

We are happy to introduce a new shop night, Womyn and Trans Night. This is the same as open shop, but it is only open to self-identified womyn and trans people, who are traditionally marginalized in the cycling community. It is a chance to utilize the shop in a non-intimidating environment. No matter what your level of experience, we welcome you to come work on your own bike or volunteer. Thursdays 6 pm - 9pm |
